Wireless Conference Phone Brings Home SCN/InfoComm Installation Product and Commercial Integrator BEST Awards
SUDBURY, Mass. — June 21, 2012 — Revolabs Inc. today announced that at InfoComm 2012, its FLX(TM) wireless conference phone was honored with a 2012 SCN/InfoComm Installation Product Award in the category of Most Innovative Audio/Videoconferencing Product, and Commercial Integrator BEST Award in the category of Best A/V Over IP System.
The 2012 SCN/InfoComm Installation Product Awards showcased the most innovative commercial A/V products of 2011 in 14 categories. Commercial Integrator BEST Award winners were selected by a panel of commercial industry experts, including editors of Commercial Integrator and leading integrators, who judged entries based on creativity, innovation, incorporated equipment, ease of installation or implementation, and business benefits.
“We developed the FLX product line to redefine the conference phone, and it is gratifying to have our efforts recognized with these two prestigious awards,” said Marc Cremer, COO at Revolabs. “Overall, InfoComm 2012 was a very successful and valuable event for us. Our booth was packed with attendees learning how our wireless audio solutions meet the needs of a number of applications, from unified communications to broadcasting. We look forward to doing it again next year.”
The FLX combines wireless operation with high-quality wideband audio, 128-bit encryption, and integrated Bluetooth(R). Unlike the single-component design of other solutions, the systems consist of several distinct components, giving users unprecedented freedom with respect to placement and accessibility of the speaker, microphones, and dial pad. Because their dialer operates like a telephone for handset calls, the FLX eliminates the need for a separate desk and conference phone. FLX is available with a variety of Revolabs microphones, including lapel, omnidirectional, and directional tabletop microphones.
Available in analog or VoIP interfaces, the Revolabs FLX is the first and only wireless conference phone designed for VoIP networks. Ideal for conference rooms, executive offices, and SoHo environments, the FLX integrates directly with most IP telephone switches following the SIP standard, enabling new features only available through digital switch environments, such as voicemail alerts and “do not disturb.”
The ideal unified communication technology, the FLX can also serve as the audio interface for virtually any major brand of video conferencing equipment. This reduces the amount of audio equipment required in a conference room, while the units’ wireless design reduces the clutter of wires for a cleaner look.
