(Chicago, IL)– New Dimension Media (NDM) has added over 100 new programs to its lineup, including the classic BBC Shakespeare Collection, featuring all 37 plays and starring some of the greatest actors in history. With these additions, CCC! Streaming Media from NDM becomes one of the few services where schools can access the entire works of Shakespeare on demand. With a budget of millions of dollars and a scope and breadth that has never been attempted since, these programs are truly the definitive productions of Shakespeare’s work.

“NDM is committed to providing our subscribers with the finest content available anywhere,” said Melissa Moreland, Vice President of Acquisitions and Program Development for New Dimension Media. “We are excited to demonstrate that commitment with this exciting new addition. All of Shakespeare’s plays are collected in one place, and these award-winning productions make them accessible to students like never before!”

The BBC Shakespeare Collection is one of several new Language Arts and Literature additions to the NDM catalog in the current update. The complete list includes:

• The BBC Shakespeare Collection. The famous original BBC productions! This number one selling video series for libraries and Literature class revolutionized the teaching of Shakespeare. This collection of all 37 plays includes performances by Britain’s most distinguished theatrical talent including Sir John Gielgud, Ben Kingsley, Claire Bloom, Helen Mirren, Anthony Hopkins, Michael York, Alan Rickman, John Cleese and Derek Jacobi.
• Shakespeare: The Animated Tales. With two Emmy Awards, and a New York Festival Gold Award to its credit, this collection of 12 tales has won a vast, new audience with its skillful, short adaptations of the Bard’s best loved plays. It includes the voices of Hugh Grant, Brian Cox, Alec McCowen, Linus Roache, Zoë Wanamaker, and many more.
• Great American Authors: Since 1650. Presented by Jane Kaczmarek, this collection of 64 programs presents the rich, literary tradition of American storytelling from the first colonists in the 17th century, to a small cadre of brilliant 19th century New England writers who defined the unique American experience and soul, to the whole country speaking out in the 20th Century against war, poverty, racism and alienation.

These programs will join recent additions to NDM’s Language Arts lineup, including 51 programs in the multi-lingual Moko series, and 20 programs from the PBS Between the Lions series.
