Hobsons announced today that Denton Independent School District (ISD) in Texas has selected Naviance, the world’s most widely adopted college-and career-readiness platform, to increase student and family engagement and enhance college and career planning. The district will implement the platform across four Denton high schools this fall.
“Naviance aligns perfectly with our district mission of having Denton ISD students graduate from high school, college and career ready,” said Amy Lawrence, director of counseling services for Denton ISD. “Whether our students are exploring career choices, investigating college options or completing a personal learning plan, the end goal is to connect their academic choices with their post-secondary goals, and Naviance is truly a one-stop shop for college and career planning.”
Naviance delivers a comprehensive suite of college and career planning tools that facilitate student goal setting, academic planning, college exploration and career assessment. More than 5,500 schools and districts across 84 countries leverage Naviance to optimize student potential, enhance school counselor productivity, and track and analyze student outcomes.
Denton ISD, a fast-growth district adding more than 1,000 students annually, will also take advantage of the Naviance’s multilingual custom content functionality, which will allow school and district administrators to engage students and families in their native language within the Naviance Family Connection portal. More than 31 percent of the district’s student population is Latino.
