TAMPA, FL – August 8, 2012 – Impulse Point, provider of the industry’s most scalable, and easiest to deploy and maintain network access control (NAC) solution for large enterprise networks in support of BYOD, announces the availability of Version 5.4 of its Safe•Connect™ solution.

New to Safe•Connect Version 5.4 is the Identity Correlation Manager (ICM), an innovative appliance-based offering designed to deliver real-time, identity-to-device association information required to support the “Bring Your Own Device” mobile device explosion.

A key feature of ICM is the introduction of Safe•Connect’s Identity Output Connectors (IOC) that offer standards-based integration with third-party policy management systems that require identity-awareness in support of BYOD. Impulse Point’s ICM further expands their capabilities in this area of emerging importance for network managers. These advances extend Procera’s intelligent policy enforcement solution and the resulting combination is truly unique in the markets we serve.”

“In conjunction with Procera Networks, our Identity Correlation Manager enables our customers to assign identity-based bandwidth consumption policies for all the mobile devices students are bringing to campus,” says Andrew Cohen, Chief Technology Officer.
