September 18, 2012 – Today eTrition School Nutrition Solutions by Harris (eTrition) announced an agreement with Pearson (NYSE:PSO) as their Preferred Point-of-Service vendor and ISV Partner, to provide customers of PowerSchool® the industry-leading student information system (SIS), with real time data integration, increasing the flow of information between schools, parents, and staff.
eTrition, Harris’ true enterprise, flag ship product for the School Child Nutrition industry, allows districts to meet the challenges faced in the K-12 school nutrition program, including meal planning, meeting state and federal requirements for nutrition and reporting, passing audits, financial accounting, and, most importantly, increasing the speed and efficiency of serving lines.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with PowerSchool,” said Bradley Blankenship, Executive Vice President for Harris. “Our partnership with PowerSchool is another instance that eTrition School Nutrition Solutions continues to add real time integration for School Food Services giving our customers more control of their data.” Real time integration allows schools and districts the ability to serve students breakfast or lunch, immediately after being enrolled in the PowerSchool system.
Both PowerSchool and eTrition are market leaders, serving schools and districts in all 50 states. PowerSchool is the most widely used SIS, supporting over 10 million students. eTrition School Nutrition Solutions serves more than 1,400 school districts, and offers a suite of products to choose from.
