State College, Pennsylvania, March 12, 2013 – Schoolwires has launched a spring webinar series to share insights and firsthand experiences with K-12 districts on ways to improve communication, increase parental involvement, and enhance community engagement.

The series includes a March 14 webinar with Center Grove Community School Corporation on Promoting District Excellence to Community Stakeholders and Parents. The next webinar will be led by teachers from high schools in Texas and California who will share their experiences with Engaging Parents in Flipped Learning. San Diego Unified School District will also team with Schoolwires’ vice president of product design and innovation to discuss the power of Mobile Apps: Putting School Information in the Palm of Your Hand. More webinars will be added in the coming months.

“San Diego Unified is on the leading edge in using new technologies, like mobile applications, to stay connected with our stakeholders,” said Bernie Rhinerson, Chief of Staff, San Diego Unified School District. “The Schoolwires webinar gives us the opportunity to share our experiences with others in K-12.”

“Administrators, teachers, and others in K-12 can hear real-world tips and see examples that they can apply to their own website, communication, and mobile strategies,” said Melissa Kalinowski, Vice President of Marketing at Schoolwires. “The webinars make it easy for participants to stay current with K-12 technology and trends and connect with other districts without leaving their office.”

“Our Schoolwires Centricity2 platform provides many tools that help increase community engagement. We’ve had good success using the website surveys to get parent input on our district initiatives,” said Andre Riley, Manager, Public Relations, Kansas City Public Schools (MO). “The webinars are a great forum for districts to share their best practices for using the platform’s functionality with others.”
