New Lessons, Assessments, and Other Resources Make Readiness for Common Core an Even More Powerful Instruction Tool
NEW YORK – March 14, 2013 –To support schools and districts around the country as they ramp up to implement the Common Core State Standards, Triumph Learning today announced major updates to Readiness for Common Core, its comprehensive online library of resources designed to ease the transition to the new math and English/language arts standards. The newly added lessons, assessments, teaching resources, and real-time reporting make Readiness for Common Core an even more powerful tool for differentiating instruction for grades 3-8.
These updates add to the hundreds of highly effective lessons, practice sessions, and assessments already part of the recently launched library, including new content from Triumph Learning’s Common Core Coach and Common Core Clinics. With access to Triumph Learning’s best-selling series for grades 3-8, instructors have multiple selections to support individual learning needs—all indexed by Common Core Standard, academic topic, and keyword.
With its robust data and reporting tools, Readiness for Common Core allows teachers to identify individual learning needs easily and, using the new Bookshelf feature, quickly access and assign any lesson from the print texts– regardless of the lesson’s standards alignment. Newly refined alerts and updates to the Teacher Dashboard significantly improve workflow, making it easy to monitor student and class progress, and to search for and assign resources from their home screen.
Other enhancements to Readiness for Common Core add flexibility to the program’s assessment features, allowing teachers to re-assign and re-grade past assignments, change assignment deadlines, generate assessment comparison reports to demonstrate progress, and export data for analysis and reporting. Dozens of ready-made tests are included, and a build-a-test feature allows teachers to create original assessments. The Readiness item bank features thousands of questions—a minimum of 10 per standard, and real-time data allows educators to analyze items and sort results in meaningful ways—by lesson, assessment, class or student—providing educators the capability to track growth and proficiency.
“As teachers implement these new more rigorous learning goals, it is critical that they have access to tools and resources that support them as they change their instructional strategies,” said Rick Noble, President and CEO of Triumph Learning. “These updates are part of our ongoing commitment to developing and enhancing Readiness for Common Core, and making all of Triumph Learning’s acclaimed print resources available online in an easy to use, teacher-driven environment.”
New graphic organizers, glossaries, and video tutorials offer further support for instruction. In addition, logins for parents will help them keep track of their children’s progress and strengthen the home-school connection.
