CUE Announces Reboot of San Francisco Affiliate
Walnut Creek, CA., May 16, 2013 — Computer-Using Educators, Inc. (CUE) is proud to welcome its latest CUE affiliate in San Francisco. The new organization serving educators within San Francisco County and nearby cities will officially begin operating July 1 under the leadership of its co-presidents, Karen McGarrah and Susan Kameny. Its return provides services and support for the San Francisco region which have been absent for the last decade.
“We are pleased to welcome back our San Francisco affiliate and wish them great success,” said CUE Board President Robert Craven. “We know how valuable our affiliates are and how they serve our members in the areas they represent. San Francisco is in good hands.”
The new organization been approved as a 501(c)3 tax exempt subordinate organization, joining CUE’s other 19 affiliates. Every un-affiliated CUE member living within its boundaries will automatically become CUE SF members on July 1. It will hold its first event sometime in August or September of this year.
