MERIDEN, CT.— Educators are invited to join The EdWorld Exchange, an innovative online marketplace for educators, where they can buy and sell classroom resources.

Created by Education World, the well-known source for quality free lesson plans and educational resources, The EdWorld Exchange takes things to the next level. This new site allows teachers to upload lesson plans, worksheets, PowerPoints, tests and more. If teachers upload it, they can profit from it.

“We’re very pleased to provide a platform that helps educators earn money selling their own materials,” said Rich Datz, Education World General Manager. “We’ve been helping teachers for 17 years, and The EdWorld Exchange presents an exciting opportunity for us to expand our offerings.”

One of The EdWorld Exchange’s key features is a service that identifies the Common Core or state standards met by teachers’ lessons.

Datz explained that this service makes the EdWorld Exchange a complete educator resource. “We have partnered with our sister company EdGate Correlation Services to make the process for aligning content to Common Core and state standards seamless. This reinforces the usefulness of any aligned content purchased on the Exchange.”

Through the new platform, educators also can:
• Request specific resources from other EdWorld Exchange users; and
• Gather new ideas from an engaged and active community of teachers.

The EdWorld Exchange is the product of Education World, “The Educator’s Best Friend™.” More than 300,000 educators view millions of Education World pages each month. Education World provides K-12 resources to teachers, administrators and school technology coordinators to enhance instruction and improve student performance. All resources are free all the time, and new content is added daily. Resources include K-12 lesson plans, professional development articles and more.

Education World’s parent company is EDmin, based in San Diego. EDmin’s focus is “Connecting Educators With What Works.” The company has been working with schools and districts for 20 years and serves nearly 4 million users in all 50 states and the international market. EDmin is best known for the INFORM® Learning System, an enterprise-level platform that integrates assessment, reporting, resources and community capabilities with an academic data warehouse.
