During the one hour webinar, Robyn Chu, MOT, OTR/L, and Dr. Rondalyn Whitney, PhD, OT/L, an assistant professor of occupation therapy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, will share their first-hand experiences with online OT. This webinar will inform special education directors and administrators of the benefits of providing online OT in school settings, as well as teach them how a blended model of online and onsite OT delivery can improve quality of service, outcomes and compliance.

• Understand the factors to consider for an online delivery model for OT.
• Identify selection criteria for students who would benefit from online OT.
• Cite examples of common IEP goals and student outcomes in online OT cases.

About Robyn Chu
Robyn Chu, MOT, OTR/L, has an undergraduate degree in psychology with a biological emphasis from the University of California at Davis and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA. Her professional experience includes Shriners Hospital in Sacramento and the El Dorado County Office of Education as an Occupational Therapist and Lead Occupational Therapist. Chu completed both the Level 1 and 2 intensive mentorship programs through the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation in Colorado and has been successfully treating SPD for the last three years using the techniques and research taught through the SPD Foundation.
Dr. Rondalyn Whitney
Dr. Rondalyn Whitney, PhD, OT/L, is an assistant professor of occupation therapy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was previously the senior research coordinator at Kennedy Krieger Institute, where her work focused on social skills intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Whitney is the author of several books, including Bridging the Gap and A Writer’s Tool Kit. Throughout her career, the focus of her research has largely been related to family quality-of-life when raising a child with a disability. Dr. Whitney holds a PhD in international health sciences from Trident University, an MOT in occupational therapy from Samuel Merritt University, and a B.A. in psychology from Marshall University.
