INDIANAPOLIS (June 12, 2013) – Standard for Success, an online, fully customizable educator evaluation and management platform, announces today the addition of Louisa County Public Schools in Virginia to its client roster, marking the second Virginia district to employ Standard for Success.
With staff evaluation guidelines evolving across the U.S., Standard for Success’ adaptability to any number of rubrics and models was a selling point for Mineral, Va.,-based Louisa County Public Schools.
The district, which has six schools with an enrollment of 4,800 students, is able to meet the new requirements of the Virginia Department of Education’s (VDOE) more stringent teacher and principal evaluation model through Standard for Success’ online portal accessible via a tablet or laptop and which is completely mobile—thereby reducing paperwork and increasing teachers’ time for instruction.
“We’re excited about Standard for Success and the process in which we’ll be able to evaluate personnel electronically,” said J. Douglas Straley, assistant superintendent for administration at Louisa County Public Schools. The platform will go into effect for the 2013-14 school year. “We’re looking forward to the efficiency and congruency Standard for Success provides with Virginia’s state standards.”
This marks the second collaboration with a school entity outside of Indiana for Standard for Success, which is in place in nearly 60 Hoosier school districts. Standard for Success recently partnered with Goochland County Public Schools in Goochland, Va.; also, Standard for Success partnered with Virginia-based Interactive Achievement earlier in 2013 to feature its robust data management capabilities.
“More school districts across the U.S. are beginning to realize that Standard for Success’ adaptability to any evaluation model sets it apart from other services,” said Todd Whitlock, co-founder of Standard for Success. “With our tailored approach that offers a completely mobile platform, Standard for Success’ cloud-based tool strengthens classrooms with its emphasis on professional development.”
With its easy-to-use interface, Standard for Success’ program allows for real-time evaluation of teachers while easing the burden on administrators through its diverse management features and archives. Teachers can chart professional development goals and division leadership can view school and division-wide summaries and drill down for specifics on particular groups – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
