MINNEAPOLIS, August 19, 2013 – Naiku announced today the release of Benchmark Now!™, a free online assessment tool designed to help teachers quickly identify students’ math knowledge and skills as measured by the Common Core State Standards. Benchmark Now! contains ready-to-use assessments using questions from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and delivered through Naiku’s award winning cloud-based assessment engine, providing teachers immediate, standards-aligned reporting on student and class performance.
“We recognize the importance for teachers to provide benchmark assessments to understand student knowledge at anytime” said Greg Wright, Chief Executive Officer for Naiku. “We’ve designed Benchmark Now! so teachers can quickly and easily assess their students’ knowledge of the Common Core Math Standards using any web enabled device.”
Naiku’s team of educational assessment professionals has curated the Benchmark Now! assessments using Common Core standards aligned question items from the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Assess2Know® Benchmark Item bank that is fully integrated into Naiku. All questions contain answer rationale and work seamlessly with Naiku’s unique metacognitive features of confidence and reflection. With these optional features students can express their confidence while answering questions, and can reflect on their answers with automatically supplied answer rationale after test completion.
