See.Touch.Learn.® is recognized in Teachers With Apps Certification Program

STAMFORD, Conn. (Sept. 30, 2013) – See.Touch.Learn.®, a tablet-based visual learning and assessment application for children with special needs, was selected as a certified application in Teachers With Apps’ quarterly certification program. The application, developed by Brain Parade®, is being recognized for providing exemplary content, presentation, execution and overall user experience.

“As education applications proliferate in schools, it can be difficult to identify which ones best facilitate teaching and learning,” said Teachers With Apps co-founder, Anne Rachel. “Our certification program is designed to recognize apps that go above and beyond to offer an excellent educational tool.”

Launched on April 1, 2013, the Teachers With Apps Certification Program has recognized 34 apps to date. See.Touch.Learn. is among only a select few special education apps awarded this certification.

“We are incredibly appreciative of this acknowledgment,” said Brain Parade President Jim McClafferty. “Diverse learning methods and needs exist in the classroom, and See.Touch.Learn. was created to meet those needs by providing highly personalized lessons that improve learning experiences for students and educators.”

Addressing the growing prevalence of autism and other developmental disorders in the classroom, See.Touch.Learn. uses high-quality photographs to help students develop language and reading skills, as well as master essential daily life skills. Educators can quickly and easily assemble images and lessons tailored to each student with the touch of a finger.

“It is helpful to leverage the interactivity of tablets, especially when engaging with special needs students,” said McClafferty. “The Teachers With Apps program is doing a wonderful service by directing educators to high-quality, innovative apps.”
