1. Win up to $75K for STEM
The American Honda Foundation engages in grant making that reflects the basic tenets, beliefs and philosophies of Honda companies, which are characterized by the following qualities: imaginative, creative, youthful, forward-thinking, scientific, humanistic and innovative. We support youth education with a specific focus on the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects in addition to the environment. Deadline: November 1st, 2013. 2. Win up to $50K for science writing
The National Association of Science Writers invites proposals from individuals or groups to apply for grants ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 for projects and programs that are designed to help science writers in their professional lives and/or to benefit the field of science writing. Proposals can serve non-members as well as members. We encourage creative thinking, thus the guidelines for these proposals are consciously broad. Deadline: November 15th, 2013. 3. Five awards of $4,500 for STEM educators
This award recognizes excellence and innovation in the field of STEM education at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. A total of 5 awardees will be selected annually. Each awardee will receive up to $1,500 to cover travel expenses to attend the NSTA national conference and be part of a STEM share-a-thon workshop, a $1,000 monetary gift, and a $2000 certificate for Pasco Scientific products.
