(Chicago, IL)– The New Dimension Media Professional Development team has launched a new “Digital Classroom” training and professional development program, starting in Polk County Public Schools (82,500 students) in Bartow, Florida. With CCC!, teachers, students, and staff throughout the district have access to a library of over 5,000 media titles and 100,000 teaching segments, from top educational producers including Disney Educational Productions, National Geographic Education, BBC Motion Gallery, the National Science Foundation, and more.

Over 300 educators from throughout the district attended the three hour workshops. The new session strives to help educators take motion media in the classroom beyond simple playback, and includes discussions, media content examples, and strategies for integrating media into lessons. Additionally, the sessions include hands-on workshop time, where participants search for and customize CCC!’s programming specifically for use with their students.

“We are so delighted to launch our new training program with Polk County,” said Sara Ferguson, Director of Training for New Dimension Media. “They are a district with high standards for using media and technology in the classroom, and it’s been a pleasure working with them to continue to strive for an even closer integration of curriculum and technology.”

Feedback from the district has been extremely positive, with participants providing many great ideas for how to utilize CCC! in their classrooms. One participant noted that “…this was the most dynamic and interesting training I’ve ever been to in Polk County.”

CCC! will continue to expand this program with schools and districts nationwide in the coming months.
