Bretford Showcases Furniture for Mobility, Technology and Learning This Week at EdSpaces 2013

Two Presentations; Booth Features EDU 2.0 Furniture to Demonstrate Collaborative, High-Impact Learning Spaces

CHICAGO — December 4, 2013 — Bretford Manufacturing, Inc.® (Booth #338), will share research, products, school projects and other information pertaining to furniture for mobility, technology and learning this week during EdSpaces 2013 (formerly NSSEA), December 4-6 in San Antonio, Texas. During the event, Bretford will offer courses focused on mobility, technology and learning. At the same time, Bretford is showcasing its line of EDU 2.0 mobile and powered furniture and is demonstrating how it creates collaborative, high-impact learning environments.

Engaging All Learners: Integrating Technology, Space and Pedagogy
Thursday, December 5, 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Attendees will see built-in classroom technology that assists teachers in reaching the different learning types and styles of every student. This session analyzes different technologies to help determine what works best for a specific group of students. It also illustrates how integrating agility into learning space design broadens the effectiveness of learning spaces while showing how to construct different designs that allow for the integration of technology equipment. Attendees will learn how to recognize the challenges of designing a space for multiple learning styles and understand how to alleviate those challenges.

Technology’s Future in Schools: A Forward Look at Technology and its Impact on Schools
Thursday, December 5, 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
This session will look at school districts that have recently renovated schools or built new school buildings. Guest speakers will discuss which technology was chosen and the learning success since the renovations. Attendees will walk away understanding the impact of physical learning spaces on students and teachers and how they affect student performance, engagement and confidence. They will also learn how to construct learning spaces that allow for student and teacher movement and interaction.
