New UI adds features, makes mass deployment a breeze
Santiago, Chile (Jan. 21, 2014) Today Prey, K12 Education’s partner in anti-theft and device recovery, unveils its latest version of the Prey Platform for iOS 7 devices. New features include the ability for mass deployment, automatic device location, and a redesigned user interface and will provide even more peace of mind and ease of use for districts using Prey to protect their iOS7 devices.
Responding to the additional time constraints BYOD and 1:1 initiatives put on school and district administrators, Prey is now available for mass deployment in schools using Apple’s configuration tool or iTunes. Installing Prey on a large scale, across thousands of devices, can now be done in just a few minutes. Additionally, the new UI has an updated installation wizard that ensures Prey is properly installed and each device is successfully protected.
The latest version of Prey for iOS 7 now allows administrators to immediately and automatically geolocate any single device that has gone missing, simplifying the process of generating a ‘push notification’ to send reports, device location and pictures captured from a missing Apple device.
The interface’s fresh, new look is designed to make the login process even more streamlined and managing your Prey account even easier.
“We are always looking for ways to make educators lives easier, all the while giving them the peace of mind they deserve. These were the driving forces behind the release of our latest version of Prey for iOS 7 devices,” comments Prey CEO and CO-founder, Tomas Pollak. “The focus should be on learning, not spent worrying about the technology being used in the classroom. Prey is here to keep track and locate the devices the unfortunately go missing.”
Prey, a leading provider of cross-platform, anti-theft and device recovery, is being included in school district’s device management & security portfolios to protect their various tech initiatives, 1:1, BYOD and more.
