Annual Program Recognizes Excellent Educational Resources

Boston – May 8, 2014 — itslearning (, the groundbreaking learning management system, has been selected as a finalist in the Innovation category of the 2014 REVERE Awards program. Presented by the PreK-12 Learning Group, a new division of the Association of American Publishers (AAP), the winners will be announced at the REVERE Awards Gala on June 4 in Washington, D.C. The event takes place in conjunction with Content in Context, the Learning Group’s annual conference for the preK-12 learning resource industry.

REVERE Awards entries are subject to a rigorous judging process consisting of three rounds of review by teachers and leading experts throughout the industry. Three key principles – quality content, age appropriateness and innovation – drive the judging criteria and evaluation process. View the quality benchmarks established by the Learning Group.

“Being designated as an Innovation finalist affirms that itlsearning is leading the transformation of how personalized learning is delivered to the Net generation,” said Travis Willard, CEO, itslearning. “We’re setting the education market on a trajectory that successfully engages learners and enhances the effectiveness of instruction by providing them with the tools that truly will change the face of education as we know it for this next generation of learners.”

Designed specifically for the K-12 sector, itslearning is a leading, cloud-based learning management system that enables teachers to more effectively personalize and deliver instruction while engaging today’s “digitally wired” students anytime, anywhere and on any device.

Today, more than 4 million educators, students and parents worldwide are using the innovative solution. The media-rich learning platform’s seamless integration with existing school and district systems creates a user-friendly interface that gives teachers a way to share instructional resources, assessments, assignments and activities with students and parents via personalized dashboards. At the same time, students have the power to decide how they learn as the solution automatically adapts to support learning styles that offer the best opportunities for success. A proprietary “standards mastery and recommendation engine” facilitates remediation, acceleration and review by automating the recommendation of resources and activities based upon standards mastery assessments. The recommendations are also tailored specifically to the individual learning styles of each student – regardless of age, ability level, interests or special requirements.

Formerly known as the AEP Awards program, the awards event was established by the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) and continues a decades-long tradition of honoring excellence across all resources for preK-12 and adult learners, educators, and administrators. Hundreds of entries are submitted each year, which include print materials, digital learning tools, professional development curricula, and a wide range of periodicals, but only the top quarter become finalists.
