Washington, D.C. (May 14, 2014) – To enhance the experience for attendees of the 7th Annual Flipped Conference (FlipCon14), the Flipped Learning Network™ announces the launch of a new interactive online program. FlipCon14 is scheduled for June 23-25 in Mars, Pennsylvania and worldwide through the FlipCon14 Virtual Conference live stream. New this year, the interactive online program includes details such as session descriptions, speaker biographies, event-specific hashtags and more. As a “flipped conference,” pre-conference work, or homework, is also listed for participants to do before they arrive.
Participants can choose to attend onsite or virtually. The onsite fee is $450 with price breaks for the pre-conference training or Boot Camp and post-event access to the archives. The Virtual Conference is $149 per person for live streaming throughout FlipCon14 and six month access to the session archives. Registration fees for the onsite and the virtual conferences vary, with generous group rates available. Saint Vincent College is offering graduate credits to both virtual and onsite attendees. Members of the media are invited to attend the onsite or virtual events at no cost.
Keynote speakers include Jon Bergmann and Aaron Sams, pioneers of Flipped Learning and co-authors of Flipped Learning: Gateway to Student Engagement (ISTE, 2014), and Molly Schroeder, Technology Integration Specialist at Edina Public Schools in Edina, Minn. and global presenter for Google in Education Summits.
The event will host two panels of students and parents on flipping in K-12 classes and higher education; 12 featured speakers; 48 concurrent sessions; a dozen Showcases and Learning Lounges; help desks; and small focus groups. Concurrent session tracks include:
