Seamless Integration Platforms Will Save Districts Time and Money

KALAMAZOO, Michigan – Pearson and Level Data, Inc. recently announced they are joining forces to increase the efficiency of information management for school districts nationwide. As a result of an independent software vendor (ISV) agreement, the Level Data Managed Integrated Service and PowerSchool from Pearson will seamlessly integrate to enhance the flow of student and staff data to support learning and teaching.

Level Data specializes in partnering with school districts through a unique, independent, data management process improvement evaluation, and then supports the upgraded process with a Managed Integration Service using customized software to automate data workflow within the new framework. PowerSchool, the most widely used web-based student information system, supports more than 13 million students globally. PowerSchool enables today’s educators to make timely decisions that impact student performance while creating a collaborative environment for parents, teachers and students to work together in preparing 21st century learners for the future.

Paula Yohe, director of technology and information systems at Dillon School District Four in South Carolina, which currently relies on both solutions, previously said, “The staff at Level Data are fabulous to work with, and one of the things I really like is they’re PowerSchool people. They understand PowerSchool, which is fabulous for our district, because they’ve even been able to give me some ideas – and I like to push the envelope.”

School districts that partner with Level Data have reported IT staff time savings of six-to-12 hours per week — valuable time previously spent managing, cleansing and updating data. This saves the districts time and that can be invested in other technology-related projects that directly impact student learning.

“Working with Level Data has brought tremendous peace of mind and cost savings on a daily basis to administrators and staff in hundreds of school districts across the country,” said Matt Betts, president of Level Data, Inc. “They now have a legitimate, user-friendly student and staff data management solution that allows for a unified and seamless population of accurate, matching data across PowerSchool and all their district’s other software platforms.”

Pearson’s Vice President of Product and Strategy Oliver Wreford said, “In today’s environment, school districts are increasingly looking for technology solutions that decreases costs, increase productivity and, ultimately, have a positive impact on student outcomes. By collaborating with Level Data, we are enhancing PowerSchool’s ability to support school districts as they build a foundation of data quality for school districts.”
