Innovative app helps school leaders manage, track, and respond to reports of bullying from students

ST. LOUIS, MO – The CyberBully Hotline mobile app, an innovative bullying prevention app that allows K-12 schools leaders to manage student bullying reports on their mobile devices, is now available for iPhone and Android phones.

The app is a mobile extension of the award-winning CyberBully Hotline service, an anonymous reporting program from the school communications experts at SchoolReach. Schools who subscribe to CyberBully Hotline service have free access to the CyberBully Hotline app.

“It’s a challenge for school leaders to manage student reports of bullying and other problems, and that’s why we built the CyberBully Hotline platform,” said Paul Langhorst, co-founder of SchoolReach. “With our desktop and mobile applications for school administrators, we’re making it easy for busy school leaders to address all kinds of student behavioral issues.”

Unlike other bully reporting solutions that force students to use a special app or a long web form to make reports, the CyberBully Hotline allows any student with any kind of phone to text or call in an anonymous tip to a dedicated hotline number.

The CyberBully Hotline app allows school leaders to view all incoming reports made through hotlines they administrate and respond to them directly from within the app. All actions taken within the app are automatically synced with the desktop application, allowing multiple administrators to monitor a hotline in real time.

Besides bullying, the CyberBully Hotline platform has been used by schools to reduce student fighting, address possession of weapons and drugs, stop locker theft, respond to students with mental health issues, and much more.

“Schools who use our CyberBully Hotline service have discovered the power of anonymous feedback from students,” said Mr. Langhorst. “An anonymous tip from a student can stop an incident of violence, harassment, or self-harm from happening.”

The CyberBully Hotline app can be downloaded for free from the Apple iTunes store here or the Google Play store here. School leaders with established CyberBully Hotline accounts can download and begin using the app in minutes. Non-customers can receive access after signing up for CyberBully Hotline service.
