Via K8e platform, Amplify will directly distribute content from its website to students

New York, NY, July 16, 2014 – The K8e eBook Platform, the HTML 5, interactive eBook solution that enables publishers to easily create and distribute interactive eBooks directly from their website, today announced that Amplify has enlisted the K8e for its Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) eBooks. In this partnership, Amplify will be able to distribute read-aloud, interactive CKLA eBooks directly from the Amplify website to classrooms around the country.

Amplify will use K8e’s enterprise services to fully produce and distribute their eBooks. The eBooks will feature narration with word-for-word highlighting, table of contents hyperlink navigation, click-on-a word-for individual pronunciation, 508 compliance, and the ability for teachers to customize their students’ eBook experience. In addition, K8e will provide Amplify with complete analytics, including: how often the books are read, how long a student spends per page and how often the audio files are played.

“We are so excited that Amplify chose the K8e eBook Platform for this important project,” says John Cheary, founder of K8e and CEO of John Marshall Media, Inc.. “This partnership is an outstanding example of how quickly and easily a publisher’s interactive eBook content can be created and distributed direct from their website using the K8e platform, creating a fully branded and simple user experience that is device agnostic.”

Via K8e, Amplify will be able to provide teachers and students access to books through the company’s CKLA password-protected launch site. These products will be hosted on K8e’s enterprise-level content delivery network, giving teachers and students instant access from the cloud server closest to their location to ensure the fastest possible load times, securely.
