The innovative, e-book generating website for kids now offers Little Bird Lessons, along with hundreds of Common Core aligned templates making Common Core integration easier on teachers and more engaging for students!

GLENDALE, Calif. – September 15th, 2014 Little Bird Tales has added a new lesson creation tool created especially for its growing fan base of teachers and students.

The website still offers all the features previously available, but now school assignments can be made fun and truly interactive. Little Bird Lessons allow teachers or parents to create original interactive lessons they can assign to students or share with other teachers and peers. The lessons combine drawing, photos, text, and audio recording as options students can use to complete their assignments.

Teachers from across the globe are already using Little Bird Tales’ storytelling tool in their classrooms, from documenting the outcome of science experiments and bringing to life the events of history, to recording personal journals and engaging in collaborative storytelling.

With hundreds of Common Core aligned lessons available, teachers now have the option of easily assigning work that satisfies most Common Core Standards while giving students the perfect tools to demonstrate their understanding. Students can draw pictures and diagrams on the integrated art pad, write in the text field, and record themselves reading, narrating, responding, or giving an explanation using the voice recorder. Younger students can circle and color pictures and older students can import images and photos from their computer or the class gallery.

Little Bird Tales also gives teachers the ability to easily create custom digital lesson, and then save, edit, or share them as needed. Customizable lessons provide countless teaching opportunities for numerous subjects to students across various grade levels. Assigning a lesson to a class or sharing with a teacher in your school can be done in a few clicks and with no copies, stapling, or paper waste. It’s easy to keep track of students’ progress with class and student management features.

The class image gallery makes it easy for teachers to safely give students access to photos and digital images they may need to complete a lesson or create a report or story. It’s also a great place for students and teachers to share their art pad drawings or photos with the class.

The Little Bird Tales iOS App is ideal for storytelling on the go and can easily be integrated into the lesson features. Teachers can use the App to take pictures and record audio while outside the classroom, such as on a field trip, then upload them to the site and create a lesson quickly and easily.

Lessons in Spanish, French and Italian are also available, with more lessons coming soon.

The app is available for download on the iTunes App Store for use on the iPhone®, iPod Touch® and iPad®.

Little Bird Tales
Little Bird Tales is a fun and unique way to create, record, and share stories and interactive lessons online while integrating commonly used technology into the classroom. Children make drawings, upload photos or artwork and record their voice online to answer the question, tell their story or share information through one seamless process. The end result is a slideshow format book or report that can be reviewed by hitting “play” and then shared with family, friends and colleagues. Little Bird Tales encourages creativity, reading and writing skills, and higher level thinking while providing parents and teachers with a “green” alternative to how they share and distribute their assignments.
