Admins target metrics with new analytics dashboard


According to Aaron Feuer, founder and CEO of Panorama Education, the company’s new Leadership Dashboard helps its clients get beyond mere data collection to focus on how best to use the data to improve the learning environment.

“Principals and superintendents are asking us, ‘How do we measure what matters, whether it’s bullying or student engagement or college readiness? And then, how do we analyze and present that data to teachers and others?’ Our Leadership Dashboard helps with all of that,” said Feuer.

Panorama’s new Leadership Dashboard lets principals and superintendents select the metrics they want to track from a list of approximately 50 options, including Parent Involvement, Quality of School Leadership, Student Grit and Quality of Teacher-Student Relationships.

The metrics help schools answer questions such as:
Are we making progress on decreasing the prevalence of bullying?
Are we engaging our students with their classes across all grade-levels?
Are we improving the learning environment for minority students?

The data behind the dashboards comes from surveys the schools conduct in partnership with Panorama.
Panorama’s business is growing swiftly: the company is now serving more than 6500 schools encompassing three million students, and is currently growing revenue at 50 percent per quarter. Panorama has added 50 new school districts in the past three months, including major districts with more than 50,000 students. In Q4 2014 alone, the company added two of the top 20 U.S. school districts as new customers.
