Education On Air: Google hosts free online conference

Following is a brief description of both days:

Day 1: Leading the Future

On Friday, May 8, educators, students, and business leaders about leadership in education. Panels and keynotes will attempt to tackle the question: “How do we prepare our students for a future that is ever-changing?”

Topics will include creating student ownership, leading change, and fostering innovation in schools, and sessions are geared toward system, district, school, team, or IT leaders.

Day 1 will run from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. EST.

Day 2: Shaping the Classroom Today

On Saturday, May 9, there will be more than 90 online sessions for people to choose from. These sessions are designed to help teachers modernize their classroom immediately.

Running all day long, Google will host tracks for four groups: teachers, leaders, IT and general interest.

Panel topics will include aiding literacy in early learners, technological incorporation, and empowering digital citizens.

Google will be recording all of these sessions, so even if educators miss a certain panel or discussion, they can listen in at a later date.

This free online conference gives educators an opportunity to learn more about incorporating technology in the classroom and cultivating educational innovations.
