We list grants for tech-savvy teachers, STEM programs on the rise, and mini grants to explore innovation.

Classroom Improvement Technology grant
Ten classrooms will receive a tech package of about $3,600 each, which includes response clickers, a tablet for annotating on a whiteboard, an assessment program, ExamView, along with cloud-based software that links ExamView to various other pieces of classroom technology.
Funding amount: $3,600
Deadline: Oct. 30

Toshiba Grants For Grades 6 – 12
Wanted: Classroom Innovators! Toshiba America Foundation accepts applications from teachers who are passionate about making science and mathematics more engaging for their students. Many successful grantees have designed projects that tap into the natural curiosity of their students, enable students to frame their own scientific questions, and incorporate the expertise of community partners.
Funding amount: $5,000
Deadline: Feb. 1

NEF-SUNY STEM+ Academy Grant
Since many public schools lack funds for STEM, at the request of several state education departments and the U.S. Department of Education, the National Education Foundation (NEF), the national non-profit leader in STEM education is offering STEM grants, with no out-of-pocket cost to any public school district or charter school with 35% or more students eligible for Free/Reduced meals.
Funding amount: Variable, includes PD and equipment costs
Deadline: Rolling

2016 PASCO NSTA STEM Educator Awards
Three middle, high school educators demonstrating excellence and innovation in STEM education will each receive $5,500 in prizes PASCO Scientific and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) are now accepting applications for the award. Three middle and high school STEM teachers will be recognized for implementing innovative inquiry-based, technology-infused STEM programs.

Funding amount: $5,500
Deadline: Nov. 30

Ezra Jack Keats Mini-Grants
Established by children’s book author and illustrator Ezra Jack Keats, the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation is accepting applications from public schools and public libraries anywhere in the United States and its territories to its mini-grants program. The program is intended to support projects that foster creative expression, collaboration, and interaction with a diverse community. The funding program will award grants to educators to create special activities outside the standard curriculum and make time to encourage their students. Projects funded in the past include murals, pen pal groups, quilts, theater productions, newspapers and other publications, intergenerational activities, and programs that bring disparate communities together. Starting in 2016, mini-grants also will fund programs that support the Common Core Standards within the curriculum.
Funding amount: $500
Deadline: March 16
