itslearning to host ISTE roundtable series on education practices

Sessions will allow participants to discuss specific topics in depth amongst themselves and with education leaders, including world-renowned ed-tech expert Alan November

Educators point to the ability to learn from colleagues, in addition to experts, as essential for enhancing their abilities. itslearning, developer of the itslearning learning management system, is helping attendees at the 2016 ISTE Conference & Expo to be part of topic-specific “professional learning networks” through roundtable sessions on pedagogical best practices.

All six sessions will take place in the convention center’s Expo Hall, meeting room #8. Meeting rooms are located in Hall C at the back of the 1200 aisle.

“There’s so much to cover at ISTE that many events, like the 1-in-3 and the Ignite sessions, are designed to have a fast-paced approach. So, we’re giving attendees a chance to slow down and fully explore a particular topic,” said Arne Bergby, CEO for itslearning. “Each session will be lead by an educator who has been on the frontlines, so to speak, regarding that session’s topic. Plus, participants will also be a major source of information, sharing their thoughts on trends, experiences, issues and strategies. Basically, they’ll be forming a PLN for the session, and hopefully, many of them will become permanent members of each other’s personal learning networks.”
