2. Education Innovation and Research Program: The Education Innovation and Research (EIR) Program provides funding to create, develop, implement, replicate, or take to scale entrepreneurial, evidence-based, field-initiated innovations to improve student achievement and attainment for high-need students; and rigorously evaluate such innovations. The EIR program is designed to generate and validate solutions to persistent educational challenges and to support the expansion of effective solutions to serve substantially larger numbers of students. Deadline: June 5, 2018

3. The STEM+C Program: This grant focuses on research and development of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches to the integration of computing within STEM teaching and learning for preK-12 students in both formal and informal settings. The STEM+C program supports research on how students learn to think computationally to solve interdisciplinary problems in science and mathematics. The program supports research and development that builds on evidence-based teacher preparation or professional development activities that enable teachers to provide excellent instruction on the integration of computation and STEM disciplines. Proposals should describe projects that are grounded in prior evidence and theory, are innovative or potentially transformative, and that will generate and build knowledge about the integration of computing and one or more STEM disciplines at the preK-12 level. 4. Stocker Foundation Grants: The Stocker Foundation provides in the area of improved reading literacy outcomes for under-resourced prekindergarten through third-grade public school students. Deadline: June 29, 2018 

5. Developing the Next Generation of Conservationists: This program connects youth to the outdoors by providing financial support for conservation education and employment programs. It brings together public and private partners to support organizations developing innovative educational opportunities and job experiences for youth and young adults. Deadline: June 21, 2018

6. Accelerating Discovery: Educating the Future STEM Workforce: A well-prepared, innovative STEM workforce is crucial to the nation’s prosperity and security. Future generations of STEM professionals are a key sector of this workforce, especially in the critical scientific areas described in the Big Ideas for Future NSF Investments. To accelerate progress in these areas, the next generation of STEM professionals will need to master new knowledge and skills, collaborate across disciplines, and shape the future of the human-technology interface in the workplace. As a result, NSF recognizes the need to support development of and research on effective educational approaches that can position the future STEM workforce to make bold advances in these big ideas. Deadline: July 2, 2018

7. Western Governors University Teacher Appreciation Scholarships: WGU is offering 100 scholarships to current and aspiring teachers and school administrators seeking a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education. Each scholarship is valued at up to $2,000—$500 per six-month term for up to four terms. WGU is also waiving the $65 application fee for prospective students who apply to a Teachers College degree program by June 30 using the code: NOWFREE. Deadline: June 30, 2018

8. REcharge Labs Scholarships: REcharge Labs is hosting its 11th annual Recharge Academy from July 23-27, 2018 at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. The week-long renewable energy academy helps educators interested in renewable energy learn how to incorporate hands-on, engaging lessons into their classrooms. Educators can apply for one of 26 scholarships generously donated by REcharge Labs sponsors, including Pattern Energy, the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and EDP Renewables North America. Deadline: May 31, 2018
