Waltham Public Schools chooses Rediker Software’s RediSite for their 10 schools and district office to meet the increasing mobile needs of parents, students and staff

Serving more than 5,500 students and 10 schools, Waltham Public Schools unveiled an improved approach to mobile communications recently by launching a district-wide responsive website from Rediker Software.

The service provides schools and districts with an attractive and affordable website that delivers an optimal viewing experience on any device. The site automatically adjusts to any size screen for easy reading and navigation on smartphones, tablets and computers without having to maintain a separate mobile site.

School leaders convene to celebrate AASA’s 150th anniversary

National gathering of superintendents celebrates milestone

san-diego-superintendentsThe School Superintendents Association, AASA, will host its annual conference, the National Conference on Education, Feb. 26-28 in San Diego. The National Superintendent of the Year will be announced at the conference.

“AASA has been serving as the voice for school district leaders for 150 years,” said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, AASA. “We are helping superintendents set the pace for the way children learn and what they will achieve later in life. Steubenville school superintendent indicted for obstruction in teen rape case

A school superintendent has been indicted on charges of obstructing justice and tampering with evidence by a grand jury investigating the rape of a 16-year-old girl in Steubenville, Ohio, by two football players, reports the Washington Post. Several other adults were indicted on lesser charges. The state’s attorney general, Mike DeWine, was quoted by the Associated Press as saying: “How do you hold kids accountable if you don’t hold the adults accountable?” The indictments stem from a case earlier this year when two Steubenville High School football players — members of a team that was held in great esteem by the community — were found guilty March 17 of raping a West Virginia girl…
