BenQ Sponsors the Undisputed Texas High School Esports State Championship

Crowds Were Wowed Watching the Action From 40 BenQ Boards — The Germ-Resistant, Intuitive, and Feature-Rich Interactive Display Chosen By Schools Nationwide

COSTA MESA, Calif. — BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, sponsored the Undisputed Texas High School Esports State Championship, April 28-29 at the Esports Stadium Arlington. The crowd was up close to the action, thanks to BenQ’s donation of 40 BenQ Board smart boards. Also at the show, BenQ’s esports product line, ZOWIE, showcased its premium gaming monitors.

The Undisputed Texas High School Esports State Championship is put together by the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation, a teacher-run, 501c(3) nonprofit organization serving Texas schools with a mission of making esports an accessible, inclusive, and equitable path to college, career, and military readiness for all Texas students. Over two days, the championship brought together 500 competitors, 30 high schools, and five titles — Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

“BenQ has a long history of supporting teachers and the esports industry with state-of-the-art visualization solutions built around an arsenal of tools and features that define a positive learning and gaming experience,” said Bob Wudeck, senior director of business development at BenQ Education. “Designed to be an intuitive and innovative hub in the classroom, our BenQ Boards are unlike anything else on the market and now attendees will see them set up to support an esports competition. We’re excited to be part of this local event and showcase BenQ’s investment in education and esports in one place.”

BenQ Education donated 40 BenQ Boards that were placed across the stadium to enable spectators to have a closer view of all the gaming action with vivid image quality. The germ-resistant and AWS-Certified BenQ Boards transformed the classroom into an interactive and collaborative learning environment in minutes. The BenQ Boards are powerful all-in-one whiteboards, displays, computers, and wireless screen-sharing systems. They boast the ability to instantly access and load lesson materials from the local network or from the cloud; split windows for multitasking; array microphones, 16W speakers, and 16W Dolby Digital Plus surround sound for lesson clarity in class and online; app support for direct access to educational apps such as Kahoot!; InstaShare wireless screen sharing; and health features such as an air ionizer and new Eyesafe® technology for reducing blue light emissions. The license-free EZWrite 6 annotation software is packed with classroom tools for all subjects, including timers, rulers, protractors, compasses, and more.

Premium esports brand ZOWIE was also on site showcasing its latest gaming monitors. With the ever-growing popularity of esports, ZOWIE wanted to provide the equipment to help the next generation of esports athletes reach their true potential. The brand is committed to supporting the future of esports, starting with Texas’ High School Esports Athletes. ZOWIE offers high-quality equipment ranging from gaming monitors, mice, and accessories to enhance every player’s gaming experience.
