Gale and Utah State Library Partner to Provide Residents Free Access to New Digital Resources

Salt Lake City, UTAH & FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Utah State Library has partnered with Gale, part of Cengage Group, to provide Utah’s more than 3 million residents with free access to Gale digital resources. The resources are available online to all Utah residents with a local public library card through Utah’s Online Public Library (UOPL). With expanded access to reliable, high-quality content, Utah public libraries can better support the educational, lifelong learning, homeschooling, professional and informational needs of its communities.

“Many of our rural areas have limited access to library services. With Gale digital resources, our rural communities and homeschooling families now have the same access to the online resources as our larger communities,” said Cara Rothman, State Librarian of Utah. “This partnership also aligns with our commitment to support lifelong learning of all Utahns which is essential for personal and professional growth, and we are thrilled to collaborate with Gale to bring these invaluable resources to our residents to support their continuous learning.”
