Q: How do I submit my entry?
A: Please go to http://www.eschoolnews.com/innovate-to-educate/ and you will find the entry form and directions for uploading your video or picture. Click here to review the entry form before submitting online.
Q: What are the prizes being awarded?
A: Three (3) Prizes will be awarded as follows:
Two (2) Community Choice Prizes. Each winning School/School District will be recognized with an editorial Success Story on the eSchool News website, and a custom designed “Innovate to Educate Community Choice Winner” icon for posting online.
One (1) Grand Prize. The winning School/School District will be given the Innovation Showcase Prize including a featured story in eSchool News Magazine print and digital issues; a professionally produced Success Story; a press release distributed to local and national press; a custom designed “Innovate to Educate Winner” icon for posting online.

A: No, there is just one entry form for both the community prize and the grand prize, and it can be found here www.eschoolnews.com/innovate-to-educate/
Q: How is the Grand Prize determined?
A: Our panel of 3 judges will use a rubric in order to determine the winner. This decision is based on how innovative the ed-tech initiative was; how successful the school/district was in overcoming obstacles; and how significantly the ed-tech initiative improved teaching and learning.
Q: How is the Community Choice Prize determined?
A: The Community Choice Prize is determined by the most votes received via the Innovate to Educate Facebook page during the voting period.
Q: How many times can I vote for the Community Choice Prize?
A: You may only vote once per day. No more than one (1) vote is allowed per entry per IP address per day. You may promote your entry by “sharing” it with other Eligible Voters who may also vote. As the rules state above (1) vote is allowed per video per IP address per day. “Shares” and “likes” do not qualify as votes. Votes must be registered through the voting platform on the Facebook page.
Q: How long should my video be?
A: Recommended video length is 90-seconds or less.
Q: Can I use music in my video?
A: Yes, you may include music but it must be free of copyrights. Videos cannot be uploaded with copyrighted material.
Q: What are the deadlines for submitting entries?
A: The submission period for the Grand Prize is June 27, 2016 – October 14, 2016.
