Cambium Networks – Wireless Connectivity Solutions for Education

Today’s educational multimedia enables students to reach beyond the classroom, so the entire school campus needs to be connected. At the elementary school level, students learn based on personalized lesson plans, and teachers and parents collaborate online. Connectivity also supports the work of administrators and staff, video security, and gathering areas. For higher education campuses, school Wi-Fi networks include research labs, dormitories, and sports venues. Demand for capacity in the wireless classroom can increase dramatically when all students simultaneously go online to stream content or videos. Proven to support 100 simultaneous videos streaming sessions, our cnPilot™ Wi-Fi Access Points (AP) support up to 256 users and 16 SSIDs to provide not only fair access to all users, but also traffic management and secure communication to distinct user groups. With the 802.11ac coverage offered by the dual band cnPilot™ e400 for indoor locations and the e500 for outdoor installation, school Wi-Fi networks can reach all classrooms, learning centers, labs, and outdoor common areas. cnPilot™ APs enable migration to the higher performance of 802.11ac without the high cost of new infrastructure or equipment licensing, reducing the subscription costs of low capacity leased lines with high-speed wireless broadband point-to-point links. Learning stops when the network is down. Centralized cloud-managed or private management systems monitor and manage the entire wireless network, confirming system software in all devices and minimizing downtime and disruptions.
