The District is committed to providing a superior education for all its students, to build their passion for learning and prepare them for their future careers.
Hillsborough schools have rolled out an extensive 1:1 program, which includes tablets with Google Play for Education in grades K-4 and Chromebooks in grades 5-12. During this webinar the IT Director will be joined by a classroom teacher and they will share more about their technology journey and the impact these changes have had for educators and students.

Cassi is the Education Representative for the West and Southwest region of the US. She has been on the Google in Education team since 2011. Cassi enjoys helping schools introduce affordable and sustainable technology to the classroom. Cassi graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s in Business Marketing
Joel Handler
Director of Technology, HIllsborough Township Public Schools
Joel T. Handler is the Director of Technology for the Hillsborough School Township Public Schools in New Jersey. He has two masters degrees, one in Computer Science and another in Educational Administration from Rutgers University. He has presented at several New Jersey venues including Techspo, and NJASA, NY/NJ Google Apps Summit and ISTE 2012. Under his leadership, the district has made great strides in technology integration in a short amount of time thereby transforming the delivery of instruction and the learning of all students K-12.
