Director of Health Services
Garland Independent School District
I have been a registered nurse for over 31 years. Twenty of those years have been within Garland Independent School District, the last four years as Director of Health Services. Before coming to GISD I worked at Medical City as a charge nurse on a medical surgical floor as well as a Disease and Case Manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield. This is where my love for children and asthma management stemmed. Later I became the Environmental Protection Agency Asthma Trigger Trainer for the Southern Region of the US.
