Chris Young is the Executive Director of Technology for the Cumberland County School District in North Carolina. Chris and his team oversee all technology related needs for the district’s 86 schools, approximately 50,000 stellar students and over 6,000 premier professionals. Chris started his career in K-12 Educational Technology in 1998 and remembers the times that schools had one dial-up connection to the internet located in the media center. With today’s student’s being digital natives, the integration of technology into their curriculum is vital to meet their needs. The Cumberland County Schools Technology Department offers a wide range of devices and services that are used to support quality teaching and learning. Chris and his team also ensure that the technology used throughout the district is equitable and provides a great return on investment.
