Verizon to acquire Terremark


Verizon Communications said that it was buying Terremark Worldwide, a provider of information technology services, for $1.4 billion, the Associated Press reports. Verizon plans to pay $19 a share for Terremark. That represents a 35 percent premium to Terremark’s closing stock price on Thursday.
