Elluminate and Desire2Learn Announce Seamless Integration


 

PLEASANTON, Calif. (July 10, 2009) – Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of web, audio, and video solutions for real-time online learning and collaboration, and Desire2Learn Incorporated, a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise eLearning solutions, announced today the integration of the Elluminate Live!® virtual classroom environment with the Desire2Learn Learning Environment.
 
Seamless integration of Elluminate technology enables Desire2Learn users to easily add synchronous distance learning and collaboration to course work using the best-in-class Elluminate Live! real-time virtual classroom with two-way VoIP, multipoint video, interactive whiteboard, application sharing, file transfer, breakout rooms, and more. 
 
On an organizational level, the Elluminate integration with Desire2Learn will allow institutions to leverage existing technology investments, meet the needs of today’s students, increase enrollment, and improve student outcomes. 
 
The integration pack will be available for general release from Desire2Learn at FUSION 2009, the Desire2Learn Users’ Conference being held in Minneapolis-St. Paul, July 13-17. 
 
This offering will enable users to perform a variety of activities from within their familiar Desire2Learn environment, with no additional IDs or passwords required.  These include the ability to:
  • Schedule and deliver Elluminate Live! sessions
  • Attend Elluminate Live! Sessions with a single click
  • Create, store, and view Elluminate Live! interactive recordings
