Globaltel Media Offers Educational Scholarships for Creative and Original Essay Writing

SAN DIEGO, Aug 17, 2009 — In an effort to promote youth scholarship and education through reading, writing, critical thinking and ingenuity, Globaltel Media Inc. is sponsoring eight scholarships, each in the amount of $250, to coincide with the release of the novel "Turned" by high school student Jenna Cooper.

The GTM scholarship requires applicants to be age 25 or under.  Middle school, high school and college students are encouraged to put their creative talents and writing skills to the test by writing an essay of no more than 1,000 words as an analysis and assessment of "Turned."

Cooper, who is a senior at Santana High School in Santee Calif., has dazzled editors with her fantasy and creative plot themes in her novel "Turned."  GTM encourages creative thinking and requests applicants use proper grammar and correct spelling but take poetic license in submitted essays.  Some possible topics for the essay include, but are not limited to, internal character struggles, morals and dilemmas presented in "Turned" and how they may be
applied to the world today, character development throughout the novel, and discussion of the theme of "Turned."

Deadline for entry is February 22 with winners announced by April 30, 2010. Please send essays to Essay Campaign, c/o Globaltel Media, 4653 Carmel Mountain Rd., suites 308-508, San Diego, CA, 92130.
