Fulfilling the promise of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) requires sustainable implementation support in order for teachers to be successful. Effective support begins with teachers being able to see what instructional shifts look like in real classrooms, and then being able to work with colleagues, coaches, and instructional leaders to adapt and apply these in their classrooms. Video is an excellent starting point for seeing and understanding instructional shifts, but watching a video alone will not sustain the changes in practice that Common Core requires.

In this webinar National Board Certified Teacher and 2010 National Teacher of the Year, Sarah Brown Wessling, will discuss the impact the ELA Common Core Standards have for teaching and learning and describe why and how video is so powerful in facilitating the instructional shifts teachers need to make.
