MEDIA ADVISORY: Lutron Electronics Extends Deadline for 2009 Bright Green Dream School Sustainability Challenge

WHAT: Lutron Greenovation Bright Green Dream School Sustainability Challenge
WHEN Submissions will now be accepted until October 12, 2009. Grand Prize winner to be announced at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in November 2009.
Schools are asked to challenge students to dream of a sustainable classroom of the future. Hosted by Lutron Electronics Co., Inc., the world leader in the design and manufacture of energy-efficient lighting control products, the challenge asks students to:
- Dream of a more energy-efficient, sustainable classroom environment,
- Show how educators can use that environment to teach students about sustainable living,
- Determine how students can take that message to a broader community.
The winning idea will receive a $15,000 sustainable classroom upgrade to make their Bright Green Dream come true.
After October 12, 2009, judging will commence and 5 finalists will be announced by October 30, 2009. Lutron will announce the grand prize winner during the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, November 11-13, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Submissions may be in any format that can be uploaded to a website.
