Twitter reaches 100 million active user milestone but 40 percent of them don’t tweet


Every month 100 million users log on to Twitter to share their opinions with their followers and to find out what’s happening in the Twittersphere, Relaxnews reports. Fifty million of those users visit Twitter every day to keep their finger on the microblogging pulse. While millions of people are active users on the social network, a large percentage don’t contribute to the online discussions when they log on to Twitter. “For many, getting the most out of Twitter isn’t only about tweeting: 40 percent of our active users simply sign in to listen to what’s happening in their world,” said Twitter in a September 8 blog post…
