InfoComm 2011 will focus on AV, IT services

InfoComm 2011 will expose educators to popular AV solutions.

When it kicks off on June 15 in Orlando, Fla., InfoComm 2011 will showcase integrated display, projection, audio, conferencing, lighting and staging, digital signage and communications system solutions at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

The show will feature more than 10,000 new audiovisual products, a new IT Services Pavilion sponsored by CompTIA, and a new special exhibit featuring Invisible AV Technologies. In addition, for the first time, the popular Unified Collaborative Conferencing Pavilion will include product demonstrations from all of the vendors in the telepresence field.

Rob Scott, vice president and general manager, HP Visual Collaboration, will be delivering the opening keynote address.

Scott will speak on extending the power of personal connections, detailing how companies today are using high definition video to extend natural visual experiences across the enterprise. He will address and demonstrate how new software-based technologies for videoconferencing are transforming total cost of ownership and opening up a new world of opportunity for businesses – erasing distance barriers, increasing workforce productivity and effectiveness while reducing their organization’s carbon footprint.

Each year InfoComm expands its educational offerings, and this year is no exception, with 70 percent of all classes at the show being offered for the first time. Special first time offerings include classes addressing net-centric AV, cloud AV and live events.

“InfoComm is visited by some of the most innovative people in the world and they attend the Show to see the newest audiovisual technology and to receive world-class education,” said Randal A. Lemke, executive director and CEO of InfoComm International. “Our new features are one reason why InfoComm is a can’t-miss event each year.”

With more than 950 exhibitors, InfoComm 2011 will be visited by more than 32,000 commercial AV professionals, technology managers, CIOs and procurement personnel from 90 countries. More than 300 education sessions will offer the essential training that AV professionals rely on to stay current with a constantly changing industry.

InfoComm 2011 is supported by platinum sponsors Christie Digital, Cisco, Crestron and Extron and gold sponsors Peerless-AV and Polycom.
