Up to $3 million for combating the high school dropout rate


The High School Graduation Initiative (formerly known as the School Dropout Prevention program) awards grants to local educational agencies and state educational agencies to support the implementation of effective, sustainable, and coordinated dropout prevention and reentry programs in schools that serve students in grades 6 through 12 and that have event dropout rates that are above the State average event dropout rate or are middle schools that feed students into such schools.

Deadline for Notice of Intent to Apply: July 7, 2010.
