1. $10K scholarship for Latino admins
The ALAS Scholarship, sponsored by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, recognizes Latino administrators and principals for their leadership by providing assistance toward an advanced degree in education. The winner will receive a one-time $10,000 scholarship, made payable to an institution of higher learning, and will be presented the award during the Awards Banquet at the 10th Annual ALAS Education Summit in Denver, Colorado. 2. $5K scholarship and $750 in gift cards for STEM girls
Show your connection to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and you could win a $5,000 scholarship and other prizes. Just pledge your support for STEM by putting yourself in a picture with the L’Oréal double helix—our symbol of our shared commitment to STEM—in one of two ways. 3. Up to $50K in Google grants to inspire science, tech lovers

4. Up to $3K for energy and STEM projects
Commercial nuclear power is experiencing a resurgence of interest as an environmentally sound, safe and economically competitive means to meet the world’s growing demand for energy. As part of this nuclear renaissance, we will be in need of qualified leaders for our industry in the future. That is why careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields are vital to the future of our company. Three schools will be awarded $1,000 to complete their project by the end of the school year. Another $2,000 will be granted to each of these school’s science department for its needs. Therefore, total grant amount a school will receive is $3,000. Deadline: November 15, 2013.
