E-learning resoruces has more than 17,000 users

timeline-platformHSTRY, an e-learning platform that enables teachers to create, explore, and engage their students through interactive online timelines, has launched out of beta following the co-founder’s announcement at SXSWedu that they have reached more than 17,000 users.

HSTRY has spent the last nine months working with educators across the nation to design a unique platform for classroom teaching that is optimized for computers and tablets.

The creation of interactive timelines and collaborative social features combine to make the platform engaging and fun for students, while aiming to be effective and practical for teachers.

The launch also marks the introduction of a new feature: all timelines can now be made public and shared on social media or via email.

Following his Future15 speech at SXSWedu, CEO & co-founder Thomas Ketchell said: “We’ve created a platform that allows students to create and explore interactive content through video, audio, images and quiz questions. We’re delighted that the platform has already been used by more than 17,000 users in such a short space of time. We’ve also been amazed at the creativity of teachers in engaging their students and are pleased with the amount of feedback received from our users during our beta.

“HSTRY is still free, although we do offer a Premium offering for schools and districts which gives access to all of our CCSS-aligned content geared for Middle School. We have lots of exciting new features planned before the end of the school year and I can’t wait to see the platform evolve further.”

The HSTRY platform works on all devices including laptops, desktop computers as well as tablets. Teachers can sign up for free at www.hstry.co.
