A bill that would require schools in Wisconsin to promote abstinence and marriage in sexual education classes has passed in the Senate, the Northwestern reported. The bill, which passed 17-15 along party lines, wouldn’t bar lessons on contraception, but mandates that curricula highlight abstinence as the only reliable way to avoid pregnancies and STD’s.
