CUE 2015 Student Showcase highlights students projects, Two Bit Circus STEAM Carnival

Annual showcase features innovative student projects

CUE-studentCUE is once again proud to feature innovative student curricular projects from schools and districts at its Student Showcase, held in conjunction with the CUE 2015 Annual Conference in Palm Springs, March 19-21, 2015 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

The showcase opens Saturday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. with an overview, announcements and awards. Student presentations take place from 10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In addition to the student projects, attendees will get to view and experience exhibits from the Two Bit Circus “STEAM Carnival.” This innovative and highly creative company blends theatrics and spectacle with science and technology to spark imaginations and foster solutions.

As Jennifer Jordan, Chief Communications Wrangler, states: “We created STEAM Carnival to show kids of all ages the fun and wondrous possibilities of STEAM disciplines. Our playful, high-tech approach ignites interest that drives student achievement, and we’re happy to be part of the 2015 CUE Conference where technology and student-driven learning are showcased in an important way.”

The Student Showcase has been a feature of the CUE conference since 2003, when it was produced by the California Department of Education. Over the years, the showcase has been presided over by State, County, and District Superintendents as well as local legislators.

This year’s showcase is coordinated through a partnership with the Orange County Department of Education’s Instructional Services Division. Over the years, the showcase has featured the work of thousands of students from across the western United States. The showcase is open to the community at no charge.
